“I have some farts that I managed to save into old used water bottles that I would like to sell. They are 10$ a bottle and would make a great gag gift for that office party or an ex girlfriends birthday. I have sorted them out as to offer a variety of products to offer you. I have 3 distinct smells that are as follows: old sulfur fart, garbage smelling fart, and old rotten cabbage fart. This is a great value and could make any situation into a hilarious one. Imagine in the elevator with people you don’t know and you pop the cap off of one of these sweet stink bombs, pure hilarity! Best of all, as long as you properly dispose of the bottle there’s no law you would be violating like a traditional stink bomb. Pick these up ASAP as supplies will run out quickly and I can only produce so many farts a day. First come, first serve. Cash only. Send me an email if you are interested! Hurry!”
This post on Craiglist has been removed, but it got to show how crazy people are willing to buy stuff like this!

If you thought it’s easy to get to Google, think again. In our current round of usability research, only 76% of users who expressed a desire to run a Google search were successful. In other words, 1/4 of users who wanted to use Google couldn’t do so. (Instead, they either completely failed to get to any search engine or ended up running their query on a different search engine — usually whatever type-in field happened to be at hand.)
He concludes:
I doubt that any Web designer would be incapable of running a Google search. So, the fact that 1/4 of users can’t do it is a striking demonstration that you can’t rely on your own experience if you want to reach a broader audience.
Surprised? Not so much. How many people grew up around computers? Most of us did not. You’re still dealing with people who are adding “www” to their email address and are discovering that pages actually can scroll.
But not everyone prefers Google:
What shocked me last week at a barbershop is absolutely nobody there considered Google a good search engine. They all considered Yahoo and MSN the better search engines. There were about 15 people ranging in age from 25-75. People were vocal about Google. They were upset at seeing a lot of pages on Google where the keyword was only mentioned once on the web site. As I listened further these people were savvier than I thought. Many seemed to show a shift to other search engines based upon the roll-out of Universal Search. Most also seemed to like SEO. They felt even if the web site overused the keywords it was more prone to be about the subject. Also it seemed to be about branding and the fact that Bill Gates at least tried to help his fellow man.
Britain’s Daily Mirror was the first big-circulation newspaper internationally to picture an active streaker on its front page. Its March 18th 1974 issue showed an attractive blonde streaker called Sally pinned against a wall by a London policeman.
Streaking – running naked from one point to another, for a dare, raising money for charity, exhibitionism, or whatever the motive – suddenly became a worldwide phenomenon in 1974. The press loved it as it gave them a ready excuse, as if they needed it, to print nude pictures and titillating stories of the streakers’ escapades.
The press cameras were at Twickenham, England, in April 1974 to capture the sight of a Australian man who dashed onto the pitch nude in front of the 53,000 fans at the England v France rugby game. The 25-year-old was probably the first known streaker at a renowned sporting event.
First streaker at an Olympic Games was 23 year old Michael Leduc, who reportedly “cavorted nude” at the closing ceremony in Montreal 1976.
The 500 costumed young women pretended not to see him and continued on with their dance. A Montreal newspaper quoted Leduc as saying he wanted to show the world what a beautiful body he had. The police were not amused, hoswever, and they reportedly kicked and beat the streaker as he was removed from the stadium….read on
The longest jail sentence passed was in the United States – 10,000 years for a triple murder. Dudley Wayne Kyzer was jailed for 10,000 years by a court in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, in 1981 for murdering his wife. He was then sentenced to two life terms for murdering his mother-in-law and a college student.
In 1994 Oklahoma rapist Darron Bennalford Anderson received a 2,200-year jail sentence. When he appealed and won a new trial, he was convicted again and resentenced to more than 90 additional centuries behind bars – including 4,000 years each for rape and sodomy, 1,750 years for kidnapping, 1,000 years for burglary and robbery, and 500 years for grand larceny.
In July 1997, the state Court of Criminal Appeals held that the grand larceny charge was double jeopardy on the robbery conviction and thus dismissed it. So the court cut Anderson’s sentence by 500 years, speeding up his release date to the year 12,744! Source
I just had a frustrated experience with one of my clients that I wanted to share as a learning lesson for those reading this. I just had to make sure to share an experience with my readers tonight that I just had with a client of mine that I am designing a website for. I have been diligently making changes, uploading new graphics, tweeking the text for the search engines, manipulating HTML codes, etc for the past month.
So, I have been working on this site for about 2 months now because it turned out to be such a large project. We originally agreed to do a 5-10 page site, but as of this post, it’s 40 pages! So, during this past month, I have been making hundreds of changes to my client’s site design.
As I was working on the site, I noticed I hadn’t heard from my client in about 3 weeks. Typically I would email her once or twice a week informing her of my work and she would usually reply back with comments or suggestions that she would like to see. But for some reason, I noticed that I hadn’t heard from her in about 3 weeks. I was beginning to get a little worried that she was unhappy, or too busy, or just gone out of the office…..Read on
The virus that could help a hacker succeed online by taking advantage of you – my true story -
Do you know there’s a brand new computer virus that can get into your computer
without you knowing even if you have AntiVirus and AntiSpyware installed? And
when you try to get rid of it, it totally wrecks your system?
I didn’t know until a few days ago. On Thursday, the 25th of November (Thanksgiving),
my computer was infected by a virus that literally took control of my web browser
and wrecked my machine when I tried to get rid of it.
Let me tell you what happened…
After we were all done with our Thanksgiving dinner, I went online to do some quick
research for my next article. But instead, I stayed up all night battling a virus from
hell!
Shortly after I got online, my Norton Antivirus and my adware/spyware removal
software Spyware Doctor, started going wild with notifications of a virus presence
in my computer.
I immediately stopped doing what I was doing and got Spyware Doctor to scan my
hard drive. Before long, it gave me a report of about 196 infected files with Trojan
and some other types of adware/spyware virus residing on my hard drive!
I was shocked when I saw that. Just the day before the computer was fine!
So then, I spent hours going through the whole procedure of removing the
virus from my hard drive … and soon it was clean. Or so I thought…
